　　On December 27, 2024, the launch of the National Natural Science Foundation of China's major project "Space time Delivery and Immune Mechanism Research of Particle Adjuvants" and the 2024 academic exchange conference were held in Beijing. The conference was hosted by the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Academician Wu Lizhu, Deputy Director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Zhu Qingshan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Institute of Process Engineering, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

　　Vice Director Wu Lizhu pointed out that the Interdisciplinary Science Department shoulders the historical mission of innovating the management mechanism of the Science Fund and creating an experimental field for fund reform. This major project is a typical representative of interdisciplinary research in the fields of chemistry, chemical engineering, and life and health. It is hoped that through project implementation, a unified and quantitative "particle adjuvant resource library" will be constructed to guide the rational construction of vaccine adjuvants.

　　Secretary Zhu Qingshan stated that the project's supporting units will spare no effort in providing conditional support and operational guarantees, and will do a good job in communication and coordination with cooperative units to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.

　　Academician Ma Guanghui reported on the overall overview of the project, the implementation of the annual research plan, and the project leaders reported their respective research content, phased achievements, etc. The expert group listened carefully to the report, affirmed the preliminary achievements of the project research, and put forward feasible suggestions for each research group to further focus on key scientific issues, continuously innovate technological routes, and build a good communication platform.
