The 2024 Progress Exchange Conference of the National Natural Science Foundation Major Project \"Immune Heterogeneity and Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies for Malignant Gliomas\"


  

  On November 20, 2024, the National Natural Science Foundation of China's major project "Immune Heterogeneity and Precision Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies for Malignant Gliomas" held its 2024 progress exchange meeting in Chongqing. The conference is hosted by the Medical Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University.

  Professor Liu Zhihua from the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Professor Wu Qiao from the School of Life Sciences at Xiamen University attended as invited experts. The project leader, Academician Bian Xiuwu of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Army Medical University, and the project leaders reported on the progress of work in 2024 and the next stage of work plan, and exchanged and discussed with invited experts. Experts have affirmed the progress and achievements made since the implementation of the project, and have conducted in-depth discussions with the project and each research group on how basic research can serve clinical practice, the coordination and linkage between various research groups, and the diagnosis and treatment ideas of malignant glioma. They have also put forward practical and feasible suggestions for the follow-up work, striving to achieve landmark results in original innovation and contribute to promoting the development of basic research and enhancing scientific and technological innovation capabilities in China.

  The project leader and members of each research group, as well as relevant staff from the Medical Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, attended the meeting.
