【Animal Modeling - Pharmacological Evaluation】 - Rat Kidney Disease Model Induced by Doxorubicin

  1. Modeling material animals: rats, weighing 190-250g; Drug: Doxorubicin.

  2. Modeling method: On the 7th and 14th day after removing one kidney, animals were injected twice with 5mg/kg of daunorubicin via tail vein.

  3. Modeling principle: Doxorubicin causes nephropathy in rats.

  4. After modeling, the model group rats showed edema, massive proteinuria, hypoalbuminemia, and hyperlipidemia at the 4th week after medication, and typical segmental glomerulosclerosis began to appear in pathological morphology. At the 9th week, serum creatinine and urea nitrogen levels significantly increased, and 80% of renal glomeruli showed segmental sclerosis.
