【Animal Modeling】 - Amino Hypnotic Method for Kidney Yang Deficiency Animal Model

  (1) Reproduction method: Adult rabbits were given a gastric tube at regular times every morning at a dose of 6mg/kg body weight to administer Amiodarone (distilled water mixed with 10mg/ml suspension) for 15 consecutive days. Daily detailed observation and recording of changes in physical signs, behavior, food intake, water intake, weight, body temperature, etc., detection of estrus cycle, scheduled vaginal smear in the afternoon, and cytological examination. On the 16th day, ear vein blood collection for plasma measurement β- Endorphin( β-  EP), euthanize the animals, weigh the uterus and ovaries, and perform histological examination.

  (2) Model characteristics: No large or mature follicles were observed in the modeling animals, and there was an increase in interstitial fibrous tissue. The endometrium is thin, the glands are sparse, narrow, and straight, and the interstitial cells are dense. The highest value of keratinized epithelial cells and the duration of estrus in modeling animals showed a decreasing trend, indicating a decrease in estrogen levels in modeling animals. Model animal plasma β- The content of EP has significantly decreased, resulting in weight loss and decreased body temperature.

  (3) Compared with traditional Chinese medicine, amino hypnosis can inhibit the synthesis of steroid hormones and also affect the degradation metabolism of corticosteroids, causing adrenal cortex dysfunction and decreased gonadal axis function.
