[Animal Modeling] - High molecular weight dextran blood stasis syndrome animal model

  (1) Reproduction method: Adult rabbits were injected with 10% dextran (400000 molecular weight) via ear vein at a dose of 6ml/kg body weight, twice a day for 2 consecutive days. 15 minutes after the last dose, cardiac blood was collected to detect whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, hematocrit, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and fibrinogen.

  (2) The characteristics of the model include significant increases in whole blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, RBC hematocrit, fibrinogen, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate.

  (3) The acute blood stasis model prepared using 100000 to 400000 high molecular weight dextran in comparative medicine is a simple method with good reproducibility, and can be used as an experimental model for preliminary screening and confirmation of blood activating and stasis removing drugs.
