(1) Reproduction method: Adult mice were stimulated with cigarette smoke at a dose of 2 cigarettes per 10 mice each time. The lit cigarettes were fixed in a transparent glass bell and the model mice were placed in it twice a day for 12 minutes each time for 15 consecutive days. Observe changes in the general condition, body weight, immune organs, lungs, ammonia induced cough, swimming time, lethal virus infection, microcirculation, and lung pathomorphology of animals.
(2) Model characteristics: After modeling, animals generally have respiratory weakness, slow response, mental lethargy, loose and less shiny body hair, and significant decreases in body weight, thymus index, spleen index, and lung index; Stimulating cough with ammonia solution shows an increase in cough frequency; The swimming time is significantly shortened; The mortality rate of fatal virus infection significantly increased and the average survival time significantly shortened; The phagocytic function of peritoneal macrophages was significantly weakened; The diameter of fine arteries is significantly reduced, blood flow velocity is significantly slowed, and the number of capillaries is significantly reduced; Pathological examination shows that epithelial cells in the trachea and bronchus have shed, cilia have decreased, glands have enlarged, ducts have dilated, goblet cell proliferation has occurred, inflammatory cells have infiltrated the trachea and bronchus walls and interstitium, and blood vessels in the walls have dilated.
(3) The relevant changes in the comparative medical model animals are consistent with the clinical symptoms of patients with lung qi deficiency. This method has the advantages of simplicity, ease of operation, fast virtual induction, and good repeatability. The model can also be classified as an animal model of lung qi deficiency and chronic bronchitis of lung qi deficiency type.
